Her previous college had been very supportive in terms of adjusting her learning to take into account her dyslexia, and luckily Wadworth continued with this support when Lauren started at The Barge Inn, ensuring that she had additional time for her EPAs and making learning adjustments where necessary. Since starting her Level 4 Hospitality Manager Apprenticeship, Lauren has seen every shift as a chance to grow and step outside of her comfort zone. Despite her young age, Lauren shows that youth can bring fresh perspectives, and whilst it can sometimes be challenging to establish authority when working alongside a team where many colleagues are older than her, she has demonstrated her huge capabilities as a great leader.
