12 Days of Wellbeing

December is one of the busiest and most demanding times of year for people working in licensed hospitality.

That’s why, over the festive period, LTC shared our 12 Days of Wellbeing – a series of small, practical tips designed to support wellbeing through busy shifts and help people stay steady, focused and supported at work.

If you missed them on social media, we’ve brought all 12 tips together in one place. You can revisit them at any time, or share them with your team whenever they’re most useful. Read the 12 Days of Wellbeing Tips below:

Day 1 – Keep Energy Steady

Long shifts take it out of people. Encourage your teams to keep water nearby as it helps maintain focus and stamina, especially during busy service. Electrolytes can help if they are on their feet all day.

Day 2 – Build In Micro Breaks

Even one minute to reset, a stretch, a breath or a moment outside, can bring stress levels down and help teams stay grounded through the rush.

Day 3 – Fuel Before Service

A quick, balanced snack before a shift can stop mid service energy crashes. It is a simple way to help people feel more prepared for the demands ahead.

Day 4 – Ease Strain from Standing

Encourage light stretches during the day. Rolling ankles, loosening shoulders or stretching calves keeps circulation moving and helps reduce end of shift aches.

Day 5 – Breathing to Settle Pressure

When things peak, steady breathing is a reliable reset. Techniques like box breathing can help teams stay calm and in control during high pressure moments.

Day 6 – Strengthen Team Support

A quick check in, a shared laugh or a moment of encouragement can lift the whol shift. Supportive teams cope better with pressure and recover quicker from difficult moments.

Day 7 – Help Sleep Come Easier

Late shifts already make sleep tough. Steering caffeine earlier in the day, and swapping later drinks for water or herbal tea, can help teams wind down more easily.

Day 8 – Protect Days Off

Rest days matter. Encourage people to use them for genuine recovery, something that brings joy, peace or a sense of grounding, not just chores.

Day 9 – Reduce Overwhelm in Busy Moments

Multitasking is common, but focusing on the next achievable step can help teams stay steady, especially during intense service.

Day 10 – Notice the Wins

Celebrating small moments, a smooth service, good feedback or someone handling pressure well, builds resilience and boosts morale across the team.

Day 11 – Use Fresh Air as a Reset

A few minutes outside before or after a shift can help clear the head, ease tension and improve mood. It is an easy, reliable decompression tool.

Day 12 – Remind Teams They Are Not Alone

If stress builds, reaching out early can make a real difference. LTC is here 24/7 with wellbeing support.
