Liam: Site Manager Trainee

“Around 4-5 years ago my life was in complete meltdown, I was in a really bad place from selling and taking drugs, I was sent to prison for a period of 3 years, whilst being in jail I didn’t do any anything positive. I was against everyone and everything and never asked for help. I was released and within 3 months, was back, and this kept happening for the next 2 years.. The last time I got recalled I said to myself I need to change…

“I engaged with a few people in HMP Cardiff and that’s when I met the team at Only A Pavement Away, and if I’m completely honest this was the turning point for me. They kept to their word on everything they said they would do…

“Only A Pavement Away arranged an interview in a public house for the day after my release, they helped me with clothing for the interview.

“I was given a chance in the job at the pub and I’ve never looked back since. Only A Pavement Away helped with clothing for the new job along with a bike so that I could get back and forth to work.
Since then, I have got a new job on building site where I’m training to be a site manager and only pavement away have helped with financing the Appropriate courses.

“Without the help from Only A Pavement Away, I would have never been able to change my life. Thank again for all your help you’ve change the future me myself and my children “
